First Tattoo Anxiety - Any Tips?

Getting my first tattoo next month and I'm pretty nervous! I've done all my research on the artist (amazing portfolio) and I know what I want, but still feeling anxious about the process. For those who remember their first time - what helped you feel more comfortable? Any specific questions I should ask beforehand?

Research your artist thoroughly and look at their healed work, not just fresh photos. That gave me so much confidence.

The anticipation is honestly worse than the actual tattoo. Once you start, you realize it's totally manageable. You've got this!
